Asst. Prof. Aleksandar Tomašević
Clin. Assist. Prof. Aleksandar Tomašević, MD, PhD, is a prominent radiation oncologist and the Director of the Clinic for Radiation Oncology at the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. Dr. Tomašević earned his medical degree, completed his specialization in radiology, and obtained his PhD from the University of Belgrade. He holds a subspecialization in oncology and has dedicated his career to advanced cancer treatments. He has extensive leadership experience, having previously headed the Interventional Brachytherapy Unit and the Department for Radiotherapy of Gynecological Malignancies. An active researcher and academic, Dr. Tomašević focuses on improving oncology outcomes, particularly through advanced techniques like volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT). He is a frequent contributor to international medical journals and co-author of several core medical textbooks.
