Dr Tiziana Rancati


Dr. Tiziana Rancati is a leading medical physicist and data scientist specializing in the intersection of artificial intelligence, radiobiology, and predictive oncology. She serves as the Coordinator of the CMON Lab within the Data Science Unit at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan. Her pioneering research focuses on Normal Tissue Complication Probability (NTCP) modeling, leveraging machine learning and patient genetics to predict and minimize the side effects of radiation therapy. Dr. Rancati earned her Professional Doctorate in Medical Physics from the University of Milan. She is an active member of the international QUANTEC and PENTEC task forces, contributing to global safety guidelines for adult and pediatric radiotherapy. A recipient of the prestigious Best Physics Paper Award at ESTRO 2023, she has co-authored over 130 peer-reviewed publications and frequently leads international courses on statistics and computational modeling in oncology.
